How does online coaching work?

Online coaching means having your own personal trainer, without having to schedule time to see her face-to-face at a gym location (and at a fraction of the cost!). You’ll get customised workout programs created specifically for you and your goals.

Add to this the ability to track your workouts, nutrition, and body stat progress, as well as personal support and accountability from me, and you’ll be set up to get some amazing results.

I use my own software to keep in touch and track your workouts and nutrition, and we schedule regular coaching calls to set new goals and tackle any challenges that might come up. 

Who is this coaching for?

My coaching is for men and women over 40 who want to increase their strength, energy, confidence, all while losing weight and feeling amazeballs! It’s for people who recognise the value of having a solid plan to follow, and the importance of accountability. My coaching is for you if you can make health and fitness one of your top three priorities in life, and you want to build kick-ass health and fitness habits that last the rest of your life.

Who is this coaching NOT for?

My coaching is not for you if you’re not interested in long term health and fitness. It’s not for you if you’re looking for a “quick fix” health and fitness solution. It’s not for you if you’re not ready to put in the work it’ll take to reach your goals. My coaching is also not for you if you don’t want to be called out on your B.S., if necessary. (Hey, isn’t that the point of having a coach?!) And I don’t train clients who want to compete in physique, bikini, or bodybuilding competitions.

What’s the difference between the 2 options you offer?

My 2 options are essentially different levels of coaching support. If you simply need a workout program and some accountability from a coach, the Level-up’ is perfect for you.

If you wanna go all-out for the most coach support to help you skyrocket your health and fitness, with more specific guidance, support and accountability plus more personalised, one-on-one coaching, the Ultimate You’ program is what you want. 

What’s the difference between Online Personal Training and Online Nutrition Coaching?

Both offer specific guidance, support and accountability and one-on-one coaching, and both give you nutritional guidance. The main differences with online personal training are the personalised workout plans and specific fitness goal settings. If you want absolutely everything covered with no extra cost go for the ‘Ultimate You’ option

I can sign-up to a much cheaper programme with one of those apps, why would I spend out on this?

Yep, I totally get that, and yes you could but all you’re getting are bots 🤖 when you pay for those services. Someone years ago wrote a plan and uploaded it to the cloud ☁️ Everything is automated and you very rarely get access to a real person. Everything is based on templates for the average person.

My services are totally different as you get to speak/see a real person (me 😇). Everything you receive from me is based on your very own specific personal needs. When you message me its actually me replying not some bot disguised as a real person. You’re getting real time with a coach (that’s me again😊).

Personal Training per hour is around £35-£100 per session based on where you’re living. Lets say you see a trainer 2x week for a month, that would cost you £280-£800 per month. When you’re with them all you’re getting is a workout session for that hour. It doesn’t include the extra support, accountability, recipes, workouts etc. needed to get you the results you want. If you want those things on top they would most probably charge you extra for it too.

Online personal training with me gives you access to real-time time chatting with me, as well as all the other bits too - accountability, support, workouts, lifestyle management, nutrition coaching, recipes and the rest.

Do I get a meal plan?

Diet plans rarely work so I don’t ever give them to clients. Instead I work with clients to help them create new long term habits that stick. You won’t find quick-fixes here! I want you to feel empowered, not restricted, you should own your decision-making process.

I show you how to make your own decisions about which foods are best suited to your goals and help you find what food you enjoy. We’ll work together to create new habits that won’t require a tonne of willpower to maintain.

I’m a newbie, will this work for me?

Hell yeah it is! I work with lots I work with lots of clients who were completely new to exercise and healthy eating when they started. (All of us were beginners at one point, right?)

I’m ‘not’ a newbie, will this get me results?

Let me get another hell yeah! I’ve worked for nearly 20 years with clients of all experience levels. I meet you where you are now, so if that means you’ve had 20 years of training experience I can adapt to your needs

People with a lot of experience often enjoy having a coach take care of their exercise and nutrition programming so they have more mental energy available to dedicate to other areas of their lives.

Do I need to join a gym?

Nope, not if you don’t want to.

Do I need to purchase any equipment for home workouts?

I can accommodate you with whatever you have at home. If you have space I can help you choose a select few pieces of equipment to help you reach your goals. I have clients who work out anywhere from their living rooms, to their own garage gyms and back gardens.

What kind of results can I expect? 

Thats entirely up to you. The more you work at it the more results you’ll get. I’ve had clients achieve some fantastic results but they take more than a couple of weeks. The best results come around week 10-12 (yes, sorry I don’t want to BS you, results take time).

How will I track progress? 

There are many ways we track progress in my coaching programs, and we’ll choose something that suits you best. Options include body measurements and photos, as well as tracking your workouts and strength progress. Progress shows itself in some awesome other ways, too, like your clothes fitting differently, your sleep quality increasing, or your weekly grocery bags suddenly feeling lighter!

How often am I going need to work out?

This is entirely up to you. We’ll create an individualised training program that fits your life and your goals. Some of clients train 20 minutes 3x per week, while others opt for more. If your time commitments or goals change so can your plan. More time to train we can change the the plan, less time to train I’ve accommodate that too. I’m here to help you create an effective plan, and hold you accountable to it.

How often can I contact you if I have questions?

You can contact me any time though my training software. I’ll aim to get back to you within 24-48 hours (its only little old’ me so be patient). On the ‘Level-up’ and ‘Ultimate You’ you have set face-to-face time (Skype or phone call) with me every month as well.

Am I going to need to give up my favourite foods?

Hell no!. We’ll find food that you enjoy that still gets you the results you want. I’m a PT and still eat cake every week so why shouldn’t you.

Why do I need a coach? Can’t I just read books and free online articles?

Knowledge is definitely important but we as humans find it hard applying that knowledge. I help you apply that knowledge so you don’t waste your time finding what’s best. Most of using a coach is having someones support and accountability.

One thing books and google searches don’t give you is human support and the ability to adapt things for your needs.

Is there some sort of contract or long-term obligation I’ll need to sign?

Not at all. You choose how long you’d like to keep me as your coach. All 3 of my coaching programs are month-to-month commitments, and can be cancelled at any time without penalty.
